My Sixty Second Pitch
My 60 Second Pitch
As many business owners will know, networking is an essential part of growing a business in the local area and creating awareness of your brand or business. Every now and again you will come across a networking event requests a 60 second pitch from attendees and this can be daunting, but it’s also a really useful way of promoting who you are and what you do.
We do 60 second pitches at our #CreativeNetworking breakfast events, we also record them via Periscope so people from around the world can join us live to increase the self-promotion opportunities for attendees and can also be saved for the future so attendees can use it on their own websites or social media platforms.
It’s taken me a while to get my 60 second pitch sorted, but I’ve been attending BNI Synergy in Peterborough recently and decided I really needed to up my game when it comes to promoting Creative Content Company in my 60 second pitch at networking events. Here is my 60 second pitch that is currently working really well for me.
“Good Morning, My name is Hazel, Hazel Cottrell from the Creative Content Company based in Lynchwood, Peterborough. Among other things we offer social media as a service and this involves three different services. We offer 1-to-1 training, social media workshops and social media management. Social media training means we can show you how to do it yourself, and social media management means we can manage your social media accounts for you so you can get on with what you’re good at.
Mike Greene, Secret Millionaire and successful business owner once said to his mentor that he didn’t get social media and didn’t see the point in it. His mentor said that was fine, if Mike didn’t want to achieve more with his business that don’t bother with social media.
My name is Hazel Cottrell and I am from the Creative Content Company.”
I usually add a name of business or industry where I am keen to get new clients or make contact with so other attending networkers can pass referrals and business to me.
What’s your 60 second pitch and how often do you change it?
