Set Up Your Periscope Profile The Smart Way

Set Up Your Periscope Profile The Smart Way

When using Periscope as a marketing tool for your business it is important that you remember that your Periscope profile is one of the most important parts to get right when using the Periscope platform. This is why we have put together this blog post that helps you set up your Periscope profile the smart way.

When you use Periscope you will see that Periscope is not a ‘link’ heavy social media platform, there are no clickable links on Periscope and the only link back to your website that you will be able to display is the link on your Periscope profile.

So, it stands to reason that you would want to put a link back to your website in your Periscope bio / profile so people can click back to your website and find out more about you.

Having a link back to your website gives you something that is easy for you to refer to during Periscope broadcasts and your followers can easily click on the link back to your website to find out more about you or purchase your products and services. It will also save you repeating your website address because you can just tell people to check it out on your Periscope bio.

Your Twitter bio will automatically transfer into your Persicope bio but you will need to tailor it for Periscope. Try and state that you are a Periscope Newbie when you first start out and then just update your Periscope Bio as you use it more and gain more experience of broadcasting.

When writing your Periscope Bio think about what you will be broadcasting about (talking about) and include that in your bio so your followers and fans will know what to expect. Many broadcasters on Periscope will include emojis in their Periscope bio to catch attention from those skimming through Periscope.

If you would like to learn more about how Periscope Broadcasting can work for your business why not book onto our Periscope Workshop in Peterborough.
