My business contacts, networking buddies and good friends Karen Williams and Janet Williams (not related) are trekking (part of) the Great Wall of China to raise money for charity, Janet has chosen here charity to be the Woodlands Cancer Unit at Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Karen has chosen here charity to be Mind in Cambridgeshire who promote positive mental health locally.

As part of their fundraising they have created some gorgeous desk calendars with photos of the local area, these calendars are available for just £5. I will have these calendars at my office at all times and at all Creative Networking events – I am currently the only person in Peterborough selling these calendars and I only have 15 so please drop me an email if you would like one for your desk.

Janet and Karen have also chosen to organise a fashion show that will be taking place on Friday 17th February, models will be showing off clothes from M & Co in St Ives and the fashion show will take place in the store. They needed models of all shapes and sizes, so it was only expected that I should put myself forward.

Not many people know that in my younger days (obviously not recently) I was a model as my full time profession! I have also modelled in 3 other charity fashion shows – this however does not mean I will look any good when I take to the cat walk… in fact I am sure I will be the one that falls over, flat on my face!

If you would like to support these amazing charities, or just come along and laugh at me probably fall off the cat walk then tickets are available from M & Co in St Ives, from Karen Williams of KJHR Consulting and Janet Williams of Reiki Bump, Baby and Beyond. The tickets are £4 for adults and £2.50 for children.

There will also be a raffle on the night, if you would like to donate a raffle prize to this event I can take this along for you on the night if you are unable to attend yourself.

The things some of us do for charity, eh? Fingers crossed I don’t make a complete fool of myself.
