we are community business of the year finalists
We recently received a very exciting letter in the post to tell us that we had been shortlisted for the Community Business of the Year and we are now finalists for this amazing award in the SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards. With community and charity so close to our hearts here at Creative Content Company, it would be an understatement to say we are happy to be finalists for this award.
To be a Community Business of the Year finalist you have to be a successful business in your own right and the judging panel need to see evidence of this success – however as well as this you have to ‘like to give something back’ (their wording not ours) and that is definitely something we do here at Creative Content Company what with our volunteering at Light Project Peterborough, VisionShift, school projects, Macmillan Coffee Morning and so much more.
The businesses that are finalists for the award may work in the community quietly or shout it from the rooftops (this is certainly something we do), but either way the judges want to see what these businesses do locally, how they do it and why they do it and we feel this is because of the numerous community projects that we get involved in.
We are up against some other amazing businesses that help in their communities such as Conscious Communication who have volunteered with Contact the Elderly and Carers Trust Cambridgeshire launch a new campaign, CUB UK Ltd, Elite Swimming Academy Ltd who I have had the pleasure of meeting at previous networking events and has done wonderful things in his community, Milton Executive Cars and Premier Travel.
Sadly we won’t find out if we are winners of the Community Business of the Year for SME Cambridgeshire Business Awards, as sponsored by Slater and Gordon until 5th April 2017 – but until then we can confirm that we are really excited to have been nominated, shortlisted and are now finalists for such a brilliant award.
It’s great to see so many other great businesses are also doing their bit for the community and with awards like this we can only hope this will encourage more businesses to help out in their own communities too.
