I went to a networking event a long time ago, with Ed Goodman, where we each looked at each other’s business cards and said what we thought the business card was portraying, the message it was spreading and who the card was aimed at. Now I am bringing this event to Creative Networking, some 3 years later!

The idea is that we each take it in turns to pass our business cards round; each person then feels the texture of the business card and says what they think the business does, based on the business card. This will include comments about who the business owner is, based on the look of the business card, the sort of clients the business wants to work with and such like.

This is a really nice chance to get an outsiders point of view on your business card, you may hand out hundreds of business cards a year at networking events, but what is the receiver really thinking of the business card that you put into their hand?

We are hoping to get some experts along to the event too such as graphic designers that design business cards and printers than specialise in printing business cards so you can get the opinion of people who are your target audience, but also pick the brains of the experts too.

The networking event is taking place on Thursday 17th April at The Hampton and is part of the #CreativeNetworking events. Each attendee will pay just £12 and this will include the business card review, informal networking, table networking and unlimited hot and cold beverages along with hot and cold breakfast.

Booking is essential for this popular networking breakfast, please book here to confirm your attendance. Please note that Creative Networking events are non-membership networking groups and anyone is welcome, with no industry lock-ins.

We hope to see you there!
