finalist for women leaders peterborough awards
Hazel Cottrell of Creative Content Company is completely over the moon to be a finalist for not one, but a total of FOUR Women Leaders in Peterborough awards, as she found out earlier this week. Hazel previously had no idea she had been nominated for any of the Women Leaders awards let alone shortlisted and made to be a finalist by a judging panel for four of these awards.
The awards that Hazel is a finalist for are as follows;
- Community Impact – Charity
- Community Impact – Voluntary
- Community Impact – Professional
- Creative Industries
Of course lots of happy dances were completed as the 4 emails came through around 45 minutes of each other, with the happy dance getting bigger each time. The email received confirmed the award that Hazel is a finalist for and had the following content;
“Congratulations – You are a Women Leaders Peterborough finalist for 2017
Your nomination was reviewed by our judging panel, made up of business leaders from around the country and it was unanimously agreed that you should become a finalist for this years’ awards which takes place at the Peterborough Arena East of England Showground on 10th November 2017.”
The worrying part is the next step; I am to be interviewed by 3 judges on a panel where I can give more details about why I think I was nominated for this award and what I do in relevance to the award categories; obviously I am very nervous but ridiculously excited about this!
I would like to take this chance to profusely thank everyone who nominated me for the Women’s Leader Awards. I have since found out this included a 500+ word recommendation so it was not a quick click and vote.
I love making my community a better place for everyone and I really enjoy working in the creative industries so am completed overwhelmed and thrilled to not only have been nominated but also shortlisted and to become a finalist for these four award categories.
It means so much – thank you again to those that nominated me, those that organise the awards and the judging panel that selected little old me as a finalist.
I’m off to do some more happy dancing.
